DFSV Industry Standard Training

Please complete the below form to participate in the Good Shepherd training organised by IAA and WISPAU to assist members with their compliance under the Telecommunications (Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Consumer Protections) Industry Standard 2025.

Under the DFSV Standard, carriage service providers must (amongst other things), have in place a DFSV Policy, DFSV Procedures, and DFSV Statement and must train staff accordingly. Importantly, all staff must be training on the DFSV Policy, and customer-facing staff require specialised, further DFSV training. The DFSV Standard applies to all CSPs supplying telecommunications services to consumers. Consumers includes individual customers, but also business customers with an annual spend of less than $40,000 who did not have a genuine or reasonable opportunity to negotiate their contract, and not-for-profit organisations acquiring services not for resale.

While there is no obligation for members to undertake this training via Good Shepherd, or use the materials developed by IAA and WISPAU, the DFSV Standard does require providers for these materials and training to be developed in consultation with expert organisations. IAA and WISPAU is therefore undertaking this work on behalf of our members to assist small ISPs efficiently meet these consultation and training requirements.

You can read more about your obligations under the Standard in this article.
