IAA Virtual Peering

IAA offers a simple solution to extend peering access to your  downstream customers.

Our Virtual Peering service allows IAA Members to on-sell access to the peering fabric using their existing service port.

If you already have transport capability to your customers and an active IAA port, you can offer a fully functional peering experience without them needing to take a physical port themselves.

  • $90/month per Virtual Peering service

  • 1 Gbps rate limit

  • You provide the path back to your customer

  • IAA provides the peering fabric and service configuration

This is an easy way to expand your product suite and give your customers with internet resources low-cost entry to peering.

Who is it aimed at?

All IAA Members who want to resell peering to their customers.

Virtual Peering lets you turn your existing IAA port into a revenue-generating service. IAA Virtual Peering is ideal if you are:

How it works

It’s easy to get connected:

STEP 1 As the IAA Member, you will need to submit all Virtual Peering orders on behalf of your customers, including the downstream customer’s:
  • ASN
  • AS-Set
  • MAC Address to permit
  • VLAN termination (IAA port end)

STEP 2  We deploy the service, with a rate limiter of 1Gbps and email the peering address allocations.

STEP 3  You and your customer will then work together to build the path between your networks.

STEP 4  Your customer can now establish BGP across the peering fabric, just like any other IAA Member!

Ask your network provider about Virtual Peering

Not on our network? Not a worry! With IAA Virtual Peering, you don’t need your own physical port to join our peering fabric. Ask your Network provider if they can deliver Virtual Peering directly to you, via your existing connectivity to them.

How to get started:

1.  Check whether you already buy connectivity from an IAA Member.
Many carriers and regional providers can deliver Virtual Peering on request.

2.  Browse our Directory of Peers to find networks with presence at your preferred location.

3.  Contact your chosen provider and ask whether they offer Virtual Peering on their IAA port.
