With shiny new hardware now in place, VIC-IX has been upgraded to support 400Gbps. This is a key step in supporting ongoing growth in traffic volumes and high-capacity Member requirements.
WA-IX: router upgrade and Steam cache refresh
The Tech Team are heading to Perth this month to upgrade the WA-IX router and refresh the Steam cache. While not the most glamorous work on the roadmap, it’s the kind of routine investment that keeps performance solid and the network ready for what’s next.
Billing period changes
We’re updating how services are billed. Invoices for fixed services are now issued for the month in which you’re using them. Towards the end of the year, we will also be making changes to how volume-based services are billed, moving to arrears to allow for upgrades and downgrades within each monthly cycle. Affected Members will receive advanced notice of these changes and no action is required at this stage. These updates will set the foundation for Cloud Connect and future contracted service arrangements.
