21 Today
Today marks 21 years since the Association began.
Beginning in Western Australia the association was instrumental in the growth of the internet in the Perth. In 2012 our services expanded nationally, and 2016 saw the change to our new name, the Internet Association of Australia Inc. and we are now proud to represent members from across Australia and the globe.
We are now 349 members strong. Our fabric is now proud to deliver services through IX Australia offering peering services over 27 POPs throughout Australia, and has supported the growth of the New Zealand Internet Exchange Inc.
We’re engaging our members with industry activity such as the ACCC market study into the communications sector , and delivering interesting presentations, such as Dr Mark Gregory’s talk on the NBN at our AGM last month.
The Executive Committee for 2016/17 are looking forward to building on this momentum and delivering more in the coming year.
As we celebrate the Association’s successes of 2016, we hope you can join us for our end of year celebrations around the country.
