IAA Rolling out a new IX in NEXTDC C1
The Internet Association of Australia is continuing to expand its network with a new Point of Presence (PoP) in the nation’s capital.
IX Australia are currently working on the infrastructure that will go into Canberra’s NextDC C1 site, with the service due to be lit up at the end of September.
NextDC C1 is Canberra’s most connected data centre and the new peering point will have capacity back to NSW-IX, providing IAA members with greater options for their peering needs in the Australian Capital Territory. Members who peer on the IX Australia fabric in Canberra can purchase access to NSW-IX via Extended Reach Peering.
IXA’s existing ACT-IX site at TransAct DC will also have access to NextDC C1 and a new content caching farm will be deployed at the C1 site. IAA is working closely with some local partners to deploy waves into other locations for access to C1.
