NSW-IX hits 100Gbit/sec and New Staff Hire

In a momentous moment for IX Australia, NSW-IX hit a maximum of 101.36Gbit/sec during peak time of Thursday 16th of February. NSW-IX has been the fastest growing of all locations thanks to the 194 peers making it the largest, not-for-profit Internet Exchange fabric in Australia. The whole team at IX Australia have been eagerly awaiting this moment and were very glad to watch the graph tick over.

 

New Hire in Sydney

Given the recent growth of national fabrics, IX Australia has hired Tim Raphael into the position of Peering Engineer in Sydney to assist with operations.
